A new year and a new decade and the seasons in the woodland carry on just as they always have. Looking hopefully for the first signs of spring, we can see primroses starting to emerge.

It was a bit of a grey morning but not really cold for the beginning of January. We finished clearing the leaves on the top path to let the grass grow at bit more. Considering we dug it up last year it is doing well although a bit sticky with all the rain.

The raked leaves, from the path and the glade, were used to strengthen the barriers across the new stream, which is running well as you can see.
The fire pit was cleaned out and a small fire lit to add a bit of cheerfulness.
